Have you been wading through summer with the grace and flow of an easy mountain stream?
Or have you been a deep diver in the ocean of your emotions this past month?
We, as a collective, have been swimming in the energies and emotional waters of the zodiac sign of Cancer since June 21, 2023 and are now in our final days before we ride on into the FIRE element and sign of Leo on July 23, 2023. (Lots of fun to be experienced and more on that later)
In many spiritual traditions, water is seen as a symbol of purification, cleansing, and renewal. It is often used in rituals to represent the cleansing of negative energy and the renewal of positive energy.
Water is also seen as a symbol of life, fertility, intuition and abundance.
In some traditions, it is believed that water can be used to connect with the divine and to access spiritual guidance.
This past month I decided to consciously focus upon working with the element of water, my intuition and my heart were both guiding me to this place in order to deepen my understanding of how the ELEMENTS that make up our bodies and everything that is organic on Earth operate, feel and manifest our experience here on Earth.
Starting this with water was a big step for me as I have had a lifelong fear of water. The effects of watching Jaws at the age of 4 and carrying past life memories of drowning would usually have me doing 10 rounds of tapping (Emotional Freedom Technique) just to get into the ocean water.
But I was determined to dive ALL IN this month.
I overcame one of my greatest fears with a night swim at the beach with a group of my soul sisters after our Solstice celebration on June 19th.
A few days later I got really brave and took my first COLD PLUNGE! Brrrrr....I popped myself into a bath of 38 degree water and sat in meditation for 3 minutes ---- this is my new favorite thing. I'll share more about that experience in another post.
After crossing that threshold I promised myself that I would develop a new relationship with water and put on the attitude of a curious student as my family and I traveled between the mountains and the beaches.
I sat immersed in the cold waters on the side of the Ocoee River as I watched her raging waters carry tireless, okay, maybe exhausted, rapid riders over waves and rock.
Her power and fearlessness were awe inspiring.
I allowed myself to feel her power and opened myself to knowing her fearlessness.
Was she reminding me of my own power, of my own fearlessness?
We journeyed to waterfalls, climbed their slippery wet rocks and soaked in their cool pools of ever flowing waters that were cloistered just enough by rock to allow you the time to soak in the minerals and the energy of fresh untouched water that holds ancient Earth memories.
I could feel all of my chakras being cleansed and the ancient memories of living in and attuned to nature emerge.
At last, we spent the weekend playing in the rain and swimming in the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico. I have to admit, being immersed in the open waters offshore is still not my favorite pastime and now I know why.
This is a place where I feel untethered, ungrounded and completely vulnerable. In the water, it was difficult for me to access clairaudience in the way that I'm accustomed to. I had to practice attuning my intuitive abilities under the water.
Once I surrendered and allowed myself this new perspective the fear subsided and I began to acclimate all of me to the water.
With a deep respect I gave thanks and blessings to the great waters that provide and sustain life for all of us here on this beautiful home we call Earth our Mother Gaia.
Tune in to the waters this weekend….
We have a few more days to play in the water during this season that Earth is aligned with the zodiac sign of Cancer, an initiatory and emotional energy coming to us through our sacral chakra.
Attuning to this energy and really feeling the Earth waters has been a remarkable experience, my physical empathy has become super attuned.
I often feel the energy of clients during our sessions in my chakras and body parts as a way of knowing where the healing is ready to take place but this is a whole new level of feeling and experience.
(Btw: I do this consciously so that I’m not walking around all day sponging other people’s stuff…. that is way too exhausting for this mystic woman.)
And it turns out that others are noticing the difference too. After traveling for two weeks I went to see my body healer who mentioned to me that my body’s energy felt soft and flowing - I guess all of the water work really worked!
I hope this encourages you to get out into nature and if possible into her waters. With intention open your chakras to absorb her elemental aspects - let Mother Gaia’s water attune your body’s fluids to her frequency.
You’ll begin to become further attuned and connected with her cycles as well as your own natural cycles and rhythms.
This is just another simple way to reclaim who you truly are, to strengthen your intuition and to trust in your heart and your soul.
Flooding you with love and blessings,
Brandy xo
